Like my new look? I got bored with the old '19th cc journal look'. Still cant be bothered to put up regular photos though.

Unfortunate side effect is that this is looking somewhat like a HP website now though...

anyway, i've been getting some weird people chatting me up lately. Guys.
Went to the International market today and bought £10 worth of German salami and cold meats which i will probably never finish.

July 19

went to inverness for two weeks and did rock climbing, hill walking, biking and shooting. had a great time and was distressed to learn that even Inverness has a Zara shop. stupid Aberdeen...
watched Pirates of the Caribean and enjoyed it. Watched X Men 3 and enjoyed it. Now waiting for opportunity to watch Superman.
Finally got around to constructing my Forgeworld Broadside and Tau Commander. First time working with Resin kits and its weird. Now i have to buy 2 more Broadsides?!
Achieved one of my aims and bought Robotech RPG by Palladium games. Am now going to start buying all those comics and books i wanted when i was a kid but couldnt afford/wasnt allowed.

too much to do...cant be bothered to do anything.

Sunday 11 June

Finally got around to some hobby stuff again. Started painting some Cynwall troops, starting with the four that i use for my current Dogs of War campaign. Went a bit wild yesterday and bought the new Cynwall Dragon and 4 Kyradims from Plan 9.
Also got upgraded on O2. Got the LG KG800 Chocolate that i have been eyeing. its odd to have a proper phone again...was really used to the XDAi.
Am really getting into Rackham games now... finally been able to sit down and read the Confrontation manual or most of it anyway, and the rules are starting to make sense now.
Also assembled a few more troops for my fledgling Tau army- some Fire Warriors, Kroot, another battle suit and the drones.

Yesterday i finally decided to go and register with Aberdeen library, and boy am i glad! Not the biggest library but a decent selection of books and lots of sci-fi and fantasy stuff. Even managed to get a Warhammer novel from there.
Also paid £50 to register with the media centre of the library, as they have lots of DVDs and language kits. great!
havent done any PT lately...too lazy. and havent gone out much either as most of the students are away and most of my work colleagues are busy with the year-end accounts and stuff.
Went to London last Wednesday, for what is probably my last dinner with LEslie, Ben, Jo and Edison in London. Most of them except for Edison are going back to Hong Kong within these next few weeks. So i bought them dinner... for the first time!
Also plumped for an Aquascutum blazer in Selfrigdges, seeing as im not going to grow into my M& S one anytime soon.
Oh forgot to mention...was also assembling a couple more ships for my Centauri fleet. Added some dorsal fins to my Balvarin and built the two Darkners from the box. Also added two Cynwall constructs to my Confrontation army.
I keep spending! I should stop soon... :(
Bee Yi and Liz are going to MAlaysia and Korea respectively for summer, which means even less people to talk to on the phone. sigh...

Finally managed to get down and type something...
Went back to Malaysia in April and had a good time..in fact my best trip back in quite a while. spent time with friends or at least as many as i could, visited Clan headquarters, did the usual rounds and went to KL for a weekend. Did a lot of shopping and got new glasses and sunglasses, and had horrible flights back and forth from Aberdeen.
NExt time, i am going to save up on my krisflier miles before going home.
anyway nearly had a cold this week and was feeling poorly. should be back up to speed now. things have improved dramatically in the office at my side anyway as new admin people have started. Taken a lot of pressure off my shoulders.
that just means though that i now have to start working on the hard stuff again.... like the litigation files and the due dilligence folders. bah.

ahhhh....my first quiet Sunday in a while. Was at the Marcliffe last night for a charity dinner. Nivked a bottle of gin from my table to bring home. Seeing as i had to give away £20 in donations, i think it was a fair trade!
going back to malaysia soon...and for once i#m actually looking forward to it. Want to see how the place has changed. plus i get to do shopping and relax for 2 weeks.

Bought both DVDs for Clone Wars and Episode 3 of Star Wars. couldnt resist.
Also had my Charles Tyrwhitt shirt delivered, but the sleeves are too long. bah. its a nice shirt though and the tie and cufflinks suit it. have to spend another 10 quid now though to alter it. bah.

going back

been extremely busy at the office lately...and i keep putting off writing to my friends... as well as this blog.
was going to buy a house but the ones i was interested in were bought up before i could get my mortgage in principal. Gonna ask tmrw and see if no.7 is still under offer...
I'm going back to MAlaysia in APril... should be good and hopefully i will have some cash to bring back with me to spend.
lovelife's a mess again, but thats ok... too busy anyway.
we have a new server in the office and will soon have receptionists!
finally got around to painting stuff again. tried painting a Centurian cruiser but the paint was crap so it looks terrible. the Primus was ok though but i need to buy a dark gray to paint it with... cant be bothered to mix my own.
gonna start a tau army in a couple of months- buy the Broadsides from Forge World.
have missed so many movies lately coz i couldnt find people to go with. sigh...
really need to get out more and find more friends.
and need to start fencing and PT again.
